AstroCamp for 5th Graders

- Students will be staying in dorms. Quiet hours are 10 PM- 7 AM.

- Students will have some choice on dorming, 5-6 students per room.

- Bathrooms have private stalls, and showers with curtains/doors.

- Chaperones will be in rooms on either end of the hallway

Students Need to Bring:

* Sleeping bag and pillow or twin sheets/blankets

* Toiletries and bath towels

The Chaperones will be School Staff and Teachers

- There will be a Ratio of at least 1:16

- Astrocamp instructors will lead the programs

- First aid provided by Coolidge staff. If a more serious emergency occurs, 911 will be called and parents will be notified.

- In case of emergency at home, please contact the school and we will communicate to AstroCamp

AstroCamp will take place Monday, 3/25 - Wednesday, 3/27.

Monday, March 25th

Depart from Coolidge by 8:30 AM

Arrival is between 11 AM - 12 PM at AstroCamp in Idyllwyld

Wednesday, March 27th

Departure from Astrocamp is anytime between 12-1 PM

Arrive at Coolidge by 3-4 PM

Student Must Pack:

* 1 Sweatshirt * 1 Jacket

* 2 Underwear * 3 Socks

* 1 Pajama Set * Closed toe shoes

* 2 Pants * 2 shorts

* 3 T-shirts * 1 Long Sleeve shirt

* 1 Bathing Suit * 1 set of flip-flops (optional)

* 1 Pillow * 1 Sleeping Bag

* Hat or beanie * Reusable Water Bottle

* 1 Washcloth * 1 Towel * 1 Bathing Suit

* Flashlight * Toiletries:

- Soap

- deodorant

- Shampoo

- Toothbrush & Toothpaste

- Sunscreen

- Lip balm

Depending on weather (please check the weather in Idyllwild before the trip):

- Rain Gear - Extra Socks - Waterproof shoes

- Extra pants - Heavier coat

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

- Cell phones - Electronic Devices - fireworks - matches

- drugs - alcohol - weapons of any kind

MEDICATION:

- Fill out the Medication Form for any students that need to have medication at Astrocamp.

- Keep in mind that the medicine at Coolidge will not be sent on the field trip. Please contact your provider for refills on existing medication that can go to Astrocamp.

- If your child has any daily medication that is normally taken at home, please keep in mind that you will need to provide it and fill out the Astrocamp Medication form.

- Student cannot carry their own medication, as all dosages need to be accounted for by an authorized personnel.

The total for AstroCamp is $320.

We can accept cash in exact change, and checks made out to

San Gabriel Unified School District, and put your student's name in the Memo line.

Here is the payment plan we recommend:

1/10: 1st Installment $100

1/31: 2st Installment $100

2/14: 3rd Installment $120
